Mr Desmond Shoko is a Zimbabwean trained geologist with 22 years’ work experience. Desmond has experience in exploration, mining and project geology ranging from green-field to brown-filed exploration and production geology.
Desmond has previously worked with a number of companies on exploration projects in Zimbabwe, which include Delta Gold, Lonmin (later Metallon), Ashanti Gold, Anglo American and African Consolidated Resources mostly on their gold projects. He has also worked with junior miners and exploration companies on various exploration projects around Zimbabwe.
Desmond practised mining and production geology at How Mine (gold) and Sandawana Mine (emerald). He has also been involved with a number of small-scale miners around Zimbabwe assisting them with relevant geological services and advice.
Desmond is a multi-commodity geologist having dealt with various mineral commodities in Zimbabwe, which include gold, nickel, chrome, tantalite, tin and related pegmatite minerals, emeralds and precious stones, PGEs, dimensional stones, Vermiculite, limestone and antimony
Albert Mukechi is a qualified chartered secretary and accountant with over 27 years managerial experience in both green field and brown field in medium to large corporations. He started his career in January 1992 as a Graduate Learner with Anglo American Corporation where he rose to become a Company Secretary within the New Business Division which had specific responsibilities of unbundling non-core activities from group companies and setting up strategic supply partners to group companies.
He left Anglo American Corporation to join Zimasco (Pvt) Limited in 2001 as a General Manager for the Middle and North Dyke Operations based in Mutorashanga where he superintended over the mining of chrome ores in that region until 2009.
Albert was then General Manager Operations for Solid Corporation at its inception from July 2009 with responsibilities of setting up business units for the Group which are: paint manufacturing, plastic packaging trading, insurance broking, real estate and mining until his appointment as the Project Manager for NEC in August 2019.
Douglas G Chakona
Mr Douglas G Chakona is a computer specialist with over 20 years at senior management and director level. He is currently ICT Services Director for PSMI since 2002, has been a Project Manager at Global Technology Zimbabwe, Fidelity Life Assurance and before that he was Data Processing Manager at Zimbabwe Reinsurance Company for five years. He has successfully been implementing ICT projects in the commercial sector over the years. He is a kin investor in the mining sector starting with earthmoving and plant hire, chrome mining, gold mining and limestone.
Mr Chakona holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Management) Unisa and Master of Business Administration (Zimbabwe Open University) and a Master of Professional Studies in Enterprise Architecture (Pennsylvania State University).
Ronald Tirivamwe is an Electrical Engineer by profession with over 15 years’ experience in Energy, Civil and Electrical Engineering, Land and Housing Development oriented organisations. In 2010, Ronald co-founded Exodus Engineering and Equipment, an organization with interest in Telecommunications and Real Estate.
Ronald is a shareholder of Pioneer Transport (local and cross border logistics), Pebney Trucking (truck and yellow equipment leasing) and Blue Lion Logistics (Truck and yellow equipment leasing in Zambia).
He is also the founding trustee of Crystal Trust School and he seats on the board of North West High School. Ronald has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the US and is currently studying for an MSc (Project Management) Construction with the Nust.
Mr Tarupuwa is the entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Lamcent Capital Holdings, incorporating Exodus Engineering and Equipment, Pioneer Transport, Pebney Holdings, Lamcent Microfinance, Crystal Trust Schools, Northwest High School, Mew 7 Mining and Naldline Trading. He is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Matthew Rusike Children’s Home board and Treasurer of Belgravia Sports Club.
Prior to this role, Mr Tarupuwa previously worked for Ernst and Young (Audit Manager), KPMG (Manager Audit and Risk), Telecel (Finance and Audit Executive) and Treger Industries (Internal Audit).
